About The Pattern Farm is a wallpaper studio founded by the husband and wife team, Emily and Josh Minnie. The couple recently joined forces to create a line of wallpapers combining inspiration from both their midwestern origins and their urban habitation. With an emphasis on collaberation and custom design, The Pattern Farm strives to create fresh and vibrent wallpaper patterns.
Vision The Pattern Farm’s mission is to transform interiors and make true connections with clients through the cultivation of fresh and unique wallpapers. Whether its a highly manipulated photo mural, a buzzing geometric op-art pattern or a hand drawn repeat of fighting cats, each design is carefully crafted and expertly printed from start to finish. The Pattern Farm loves to collaborate and showcases a feature artist collection through which amazing artists and designers create custom wallpapers for production.
Story Both Iowa naitives, Josh and Emily became a team while earning MFA degrees in Printmaking at the University of Tennessee. After grad school it was off to beautiful New Orleans where Emily taught as a visiting printmaking instructor at Tulane University and Josh started working with the now famous wallpaper company Flavor Paper. It was here the couple developed a love of wallpaper and its amazing fusion of art, print and design. Josh continued to work for Flavor Paper for the next decade, first as their Master Printer and later as their Digital Print Manager. In 2009 they relocated with Flavor Paper to Brooklyn, NY where their family also expanded to include a couple of wallpaper loving kiddos. In 2016 the couple decided to make the big change and move back to their mid-western origins to create The Pattern Farm.
Product All wallpapers are custom designed by Emily and Josh, printed in their studio, and sold in effecient custom panels just the right height for your wall. The Pattern Farm strives to produce eco-friendly wallpapers. All wallpapers are printed to order using the latest generation of water based wide format print technology. Our standard grounds include Nolar and Terralon (PVC free made with polyester/natural fiber and containing over 31% recycled material). We are equally capable of printing on a variety of grounds including traditional papers, vinyl, back-lit film, and pre-pasted and self adhesive grounds.
