Featured Artist Program

The Pattern Farm is pleased to announce our next featured artists Sarah Shebaro and Bryan Baker! We are collaborating with these talented and innovative artists and very excited to see their artwork’s metamorphosis into wallpaper. Each artist will be creating their own pattern to be released as part of The Pattern Farm’s collection with a planned release of early spring 2017.

Sarah Shebaro

Sarah Shebaro is an artist, instructor, printer, and founder of Striped Light Letterpress Studio and Record Company in Knoxville Tennessee. She received her BFA from the University of Iowa and her MFA in printmaking at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Sarah’s interest in the meditative and communal intent of craft (such as quilting and weaving) can be seen in icons and patterns that repeat throughout her work. Picking up the fragments of these skills, rearranging and displaying them as artifacts, she references the handmade and the diminished appearance of craft  in contemporary art.

Bryan Bakeris an artist and educator in the field of letterpress printmaking, and after earning his MFA from the University of Tennessee has spent the last twelve years making living by practicing and teaching his craft. In 2011 Bryan founded Stukenborg Press and is currently serving as an instructor, printer and founder of Striped Light Letterpress Studio and Record Company in Knoxville Tennessee.

The craftsmanship in Bryan’s prints reveal an experimental, contemporary aesthetic. Printing with unusual objects, he appreciates the immediacy of the printmaking experience and the honest way materials reveal themselves through the process.

Featured Artist Program The Pattern Farm is dedicated to creating fresh and unique wallpaper. To this end, the Featured Artist Program has been established. Each season a new artist will be asked to create a custom wallpaper for sale as part of The Pattern Farm collection. In addition, the artist will be featured on our website and on social media
